SOLIDARITY MESSAGE FOR PEACE BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE NPP NATIONAL DELEGATES CONGRESS

As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares to hold its National Delegates Congress and national officers’ elections on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, the Educate Africa Institute (EAI) wishes to extend a message of peace, goodwill and solidarity to the leadership, delegates, aspirants, supporters and organisers of the Congress.

Political party elections are an important part of democratic development. While competition and differences in opinion are natural, they must always be guided by respect, tolerance, discipline and the shared interest of Ghana.

We therefore call on all participants to:

– Conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the Congress.
– Respect the rules and procedures governing the elections.
– Refrain from inflammatory statements, insults, intimidation and acts of provocation.
– Allow delegates to exercise their choices freely and without undue pressure.
– Respect the outcome of the elections and use the appropriate internal mechanisms to address any concerns or disputes.
– Put the unity and stability of the party and the peace of Ghana above individual interests.

We particularly encourage political actors and party supporters to remember that political competition should never become a threat to national cohesion. After the ballots are counted, the responsibility to build Ghana remains a collective one.

On behalf of the Educate Africa Institute (EAI), I wish all delegates, aspirants, party officials, security personnel, organisers and participants a peaceful and successful Congress.

May peace prevail before, during and after the Congress.

Signed

William Boadi
