BETTING TAX: Who Is Misleading Who? Educate Africa Institute Questions NPP Minority – William Boadi

The Minority in Parliament made up of NPP MPs, has stated after the 2025 Budget presentation that they never implemented the Betting Tax. However, this claim contradicts an earlier promise by their flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who pledged to abolish the tax if elected President.

If the NPP never implemented the Betting Tax, then what exactly does Dr. Bawumia intended to abolish? This glaring contradiction raises serious questions about the credibility and consistency of the Minority’s position. Are they confused, or are they attempting to rewrite history for political convenience?

The Educate Africa Institute (EAI) calls on the NPP Minority to clarify their stance and be honest with the Ghanaian people. The youth, who bear the burden of the Betting Tax, deserve the truth, not political gymnastics.

Who is misleading who? Ghanaians are watching.

Signed
