We Are One People, Exercise Caution in Verbal Sparring Ahead of Flag bearer Elections, NPP Aspirants Told – William Boadi
As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) approaches its crucial flag bearer elections for the 2028 general elections, aspirants including Bryan Acheampong, Kennedy Agyapong, Kwabena Agyapong, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia must be guided by restraint, maturity, and respect. This campaign season offers an opportunity for each candidate to highlight their vision, leadership qualities, and ability to unify the party. However, careless verbal exchanges risk creating deep divisions, alienating supporters, and providing the opposition with ammunition that could undermine both individual aspirations and the party’s collective success.
To safeguard party unity and strengthen their own campaigns, aspirants are encouraged to focus on issue-based debates and constructive criticism rather than personal attacks. By projecting positive messages, showcasing their achievements, and engaging in respectful dialogue, they can inspire confidence among party members and Ghanaians at large. Campaigns grounded in competence, integrity, and clear policies on development will resonate far more than inflammatory remarks that foster division or tribal sentiments.
Ultimately, the upcoming flagbearer elections represent more than a competition among individuals; they are a defining moment for the future of the NPP and Ghana’s democracy. By exercising caution, promoting unity, and embracing a spirit of maturity, aspirants can demonstrate true leadership. A clean, respectful, and visionary campaign will not only strengthen their chances in the 2028 elections but also ensure the party is positioned as a beacon of hope, integrity, and national unity for years to come.
I’m an elephant.
